I am a smoothie enthusiast, but that didn’t happen until I realized I could make them in my Cuisinart food processor. I would have given up ages ago if I had to blend them every morning. For some reason, I just can’t stand my blender. It’s such a hassle and it’s incredibly loud. I’m glad I made my discovery when I did.
I had been using my food processor pretty religiously for a while, so my blades were starting to dull. Luckily, I had a week’s worth of smoothies still frozen in the freezer. I was super nervous that my ritual was coming to an end because I was not in a place financially to get a whole new food processor.
I never thought about the fact that I could order replacement parts until a coworker of mine mentioned that she’d been through a similar situation. She recommended the KitchenWorksUSA website, where they sell authentic Cuisinart DLC-7 parts. I decided to check it out as soon as I could, and purchased some new ones, along with an extra work bowl and an extra food pusher. I was very happy with the whole process. I was so grateful to my coworker.
I was back to my weekly routine of blending my smoothies. The Cuisinart food processor gets them to the best consistency I’ve ever experienced. Before when I was just blending it, I’d still have little chunks of certain fruits and veggies. That is an absolute deal breaker for me, because I have major texture issues. Bad texture could ruin virtually anything for me.
I would freeze a single portion in the ice cube trays that are made for the bigger pieces of ice that are typically made for people to put in their cocktails. They were the perfect size. All I would do was add some extra liquid, either pure cranberry juice diluted with water or almond or oat milk depending on what was in the smoothie, and maybe some ice, and I was in business.
I’d take the cube out the night prior and let it defrost, and it would be perfect for tossing in a blender bottle and hitting the road. This really sets the tone for my day, and keeps me sticking with my healthy habits. I’m so happy that I learned where to get extra parts if I need it, otherwise I might have fallen off the rails with my smoothies.
I don’t have to worry about these things anymore, because I know that I can always visit KitchenWorksUSA to find the things that I need if something breaks or wears down. And with the work I put my Cuisinart food processor through, it’s bound to happen at some point again for sure.
